Located in Bowness-on-Windermere at the end of the Dales Way walk, our room-only guest house is just a 5-minute stroll from the boats, attractions, and the World of Beatrix Potter. You’ll find a wide variety of cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops right at your doorstep. We’re also a short drive from the charming towns of Ambleside, Grasmere, and more. An excellent bus service connects you to Ambleside, Grasmere, and Keswick, making it easy to explore the beauty of the Lake District.

- Walking time 25 mins down hill, 1.2 miles in total
- Exit station and proceed left onto High street, left again onto main road A5074
- Continue for 0.9mile until you reach Biskey Howe Rd on your left,
- Follow this for 100m, and Craig walk and Bowness Guest House is on your left
- Leave M6 Motorway at Jct 36 heading for windermere A591
- 24 mins (16.5 miles)
- As you approach Windermere, the train station is on your left
- Turn onto High St and follow the one-way system through Windermere
- Then bare left onto main road A5074
- Continue for 0.9mile, just after Beresford’s Restaurant/Bar turn left onto Biskey Howe Road and follow for 100m
- Craig walk and Bowness Guest House is on your left
